It Was Fun While It Lasted...

Parents come home today.

BOOO!!!

But the house is all clean and ready for them to mess up.

LOL.

The rest of today consists of:

• Bathing the dogs
• Studying for finals
• Buying a new hairbrush....Tyson -.-
• Chillin with mah bestie
• Saying goodbye to my favorite receptionist, Cindy

Yeah. Still got a lot to do.

One Step Closer

Yeah so it's been awhile.

So San Juan was amazing. So sad we couldn't stay longer.

It was beautiful, and we had a blast swimming in the ocean and snorkeling.

Got plenty shells that I brought home. And plenty of souvenirs.

SCHOOL

The semester is fixing to come to an end. STOKED.

Doing a project tomorrow in Crime Scene class, then finals are next week.

So ready for this to be over.

I'm pretty positive I have all A's for the semester.

Two of my classes I'm making over a 100. 

Only two more classes and an internship away from graduating.

WORK

Work is hectic. We got through the busy Thanksgiving holiday and we've slowed down again.

And even worse news, our other receptionist, Cindy, is quitting. Her last day is Sunday.

So we're looking at hiring someone ASAP. Not excited.

CAR

I got a new car finally.

2010 Honda Civic, what I've wanted since I learned to drive.

It's pretty nice. Miss my cruiser though.

BEING 21

So being legal is pretty awesome. Being carded is no surprise, I'm sure it'll happen for the next 20 years for me. Still haven't built up a tolerance to alcohol, can't drink much of it. But I drink more than I did.

Speaking of which, my first trip to a liquor store, was so much fun.

So overwhelming. Did NOT know there were so many different flavors of each brand of stuff.

TYSON

My puppy Tyson is no longer a puppy! Well I guess not technically since he still acts like one. He turned a year old on November 19th. And I was so busy I totally forgot to get him a present.

But I love him and he seems to be happy here with Jackson.

OTHER STUFF

Minecraft has taken over my life again lately. Just too easy to get addicted to.

Walking Dead has been intense but now we have to wait until February for the next part of Season 3.

Guess I'll just have to make due with American Horror Story: Asylum for now.

Which is pissing me off because this season has nothing to do with last season.

Parents are out on their cruise until Sunday. Woo.

Red Bull and 4 More Days

San Juan

Ah yes, 4 more excruciating days until vacation in Puerto Rico.

So stoked, it'll be so nice to get away from everyone and everything and just lay on the beach with my best friend in the whole wide world!

I'm really looking forward to snorkeling on the shore and collecting some awesome shells.

 

I also can't wait for our shopping day in Old San Juan.

Should be interesting and fun, and I hope I can find some great souvenirs for my family and friends!

 

So Sarah's flying to DFW from Denver Wednesday morning, and I'm meeting her at the airport at 10am. We leave around noon and we should be in San Juan by 6:45pm.  They're one hour ahead of us so I'm guessing it'll be 5:45 here.

 

So after we check in and what not we're going to dinner at a sushi restaurant!

Then Thursday is my birthday :]

21 at last.

Wow, I can't believe how fast the time goes.

 

 

 

And after I get home I should be getting my class C/M license :]

Still not sure if I want to make riding a motorcycle a regular thing.

 

 

 

I think I want to trade my car in for something with better gas mileage first.

But anyways,

 

Work

 

The new job is going great and I'm about to finish my third week of training.

Still have a lot to learn, and I'm still trying to accept the fact that cats are impossible to hold down when they don't want to be held down!

 

 

School

 

 

School started this week. Seems like it'll be a great semester.

I'm taking all criminal justice classes this semester...again.

 

 

 

 

 

Monday/Wednesdays I have Intermediate Crime Scene Investigation from 8am-9:20am.

Then on M/W I have Police Systems and Practices from 9:30am-10:50am.

Tuesday/Thursdays I have Legal Aspects of Law Enforcement from 11am-12:20pm.

Then on just Tuesdays I have Serial Killers from 5:30pm-8:20pm.

 

 

 

 

It's a little difficult on Tuesdays right now, because Dr. Gibbs feels I NEED to be there on Tuesdays.

So I drive all the way to Northwest Campus, all the way home to work for like 3 hours, then ALL the way back for my Serial Killers class. I don't really mind working in between to pass the time and make money, but the gas is ridiculous.

 

So for 3 of my classes I have to write papers. Not totally unexpected. Especially since my Police Systems and Legal Aspects teacher is the same teacher, and I also had her last semester. LOVE her.

 

 

 

I have to do ride-a-longs for my 5 page papers. Not bad.

Then for Serial Killers I have to write a 10 PAGE PAPER. OUCH.

I had originally gotten Wayne Williams for my killer, but she let me switch to Charles Manson.

:D

 

 

 

So yeah, that's life right now.

My puppy Tyson is getting so big! He turns a year old in November. Jackson just turned a year like last week.

 

 

 

So yeah, wish me luck in this training guys, it's a lot to learn!

Cheez-Its and Early Mornings

So a couple of things have happened recently, good things.

:]

#1 - I got a job at a veterinary office. I'm getting to learn to be a receptionist and a vet technician.

#2 - I made an A in my first summer class, still waiting on my grade for my second class.

#3 - I visited my bestie in Colorado last week :]

And some other things to look forward to:

- San Juan in 3 weeks!

- Graduating from TCC after the Spring semester next year.

So yeah things have been pretty good lately.

I've also started looking at apartment complexes to find one I like.

Hoping this new job will set me up nicely financial wise.

So yeah.

I've got a lot going for me at the moment.

Going to be super busy after school starts.

Hope nothing comes along to ruin things for me.

American History X & Global Terrorism

So my second summer class started on Monday.

Global Terrorism & Local Safety.

The assignments are going to be a lot easier since I don't have to look up stupid articles and cite everything. It's all pretty much my own opinion on things.

I need to get all my assignments done before going to see Sarah in Colorado.

Sucks though, right when I get to Colorado I'll have to do my stupid second exam.

LAME.

American History X is on the movie channels.

Good movie.

I can't wait until September! Vacation sounds SO good right now.

My neck hurts.

Ah yes, 79 long days until vacation.

I'm totally psyched for San Juan,

I only wish the man I love would come with us.

Speaking of which, I think he's really going to notice I've made some changes in my life.

I've noticed, but the only challenge is to get him to!

And I'm ready to take that on, because I know what I truly want.

So while he takes time to figure out what he wants, I'm taking more time to find myself.

Therapy has been going great, obviously.

Nothing has changed as far as work right now.

Loving the tall sock friday's. Bought 5 new pairs of knee socks!

School is same old same old.

Had my first exam today.

50 minutes to do 30 questions.

Definitely not enough time if you have to look up the answers.

:P

But I made an 83. Not pissed.

Let's see, I found a puppy wandering around the dog park yesterday!

He's very sweet and still a baby.

We're pretty sure he's a shepard/doberman mix. He's adorable though.

And he gets along with Jackson so great.

Still waiting on the confirmation on whether or not we keep him or find him a home.

Dibs on naming him though!!

LMAO at Jackson's face, but that's his new buddy on the left.

But yeah, nothing else really going on.

Applied at some animal clinics and some restaurant bars.

Waiting to hear from them.

Need a bigger paycheck!

Long time, no blog.

I think for a small amount of time I actually forgot about my blog, HAH.

Ah well, stupid life gets in the way of my talking about my boring routine.

So things aren't necessarily going the way I want lately...

Connor and I are no longer together...

I don't work at Bass Hall anymore...

I now work at Freebirds but I wish I still had my job at Bass.

Life is just one sucky, boring routine.

On a lighter note, I'M GOING TO SAN JUAN FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!

OMG. SOOOOO excited.

Sarah and I head to Puerto Rico on September 5th and won't return until the 10th.

And while I'm waiting for that, I'm taking summer classes online >.<

I'm currently taking Correctional Systems and Practices and next month I start another class.

Global Terrorism and Local Safety.

Bleh.

Busy semester planned for the fall. None of the classes I need are being offered online so I'm stuck driving to school every day. Total gas suck.

I've also been applying at some animal clinics :]

I want a job that's going to make me really happy until I can start my career.

I also plan on applying to some bars. Need more money!!

Been having a Degrassi marathon for the past few days, still continuing.

On season 5.

Too School for Cool.

SCHOOL STARTED!

YAY!

Kind of.

My classes are pretty good this semester.

All criminal justice courses. :]

And I'm going to start doing one thing I love and one thing I hate in every blog post.

HATE:

How converse have become like "trendy." No. Converse are punk rock badass shoes that are meant to be dirty and torn up. Not clean to match your stupid little outfit. Damn stereotypes trying to take our shoes from us. UGH.

LOVE:

Scrapbooking with my best friend on oovoo. Can't wait to see her again.

So things at work have slowed down. Significantly at that. Sad. Now I need a second job. But I'm so sick of the job finding process. Stupid applications. Can't you just interview me first? That way I know whether or not to bother filling out my information? You don't need all my info if you're not going to hire me. The end.
